Volumetric weight calculator
Estimate how much space a packed parcel occupies and which weight a route is likely to charge, using the divisor from the selected shipping line.
Transparent method
How volumetric weight is calculated
- Package volume is length × width × height in cubic centimetres.
- Volumetric weight per parcel is volume divided by the route divisor (commonly 5000 or 6000).
- Total volumetric weight is the per-parcel value times the parcel count, rounded up to whole grams.
- The chargeable weight is the greater of actual weight, volumetric weight, and any minimum billable weight.
The calculator does not know the actual parcel weight: enter it separately when comparing routes.
