Transparent method

How the landed cost estimate is calculated

  1. Product price and China domestic shipping are converted from CNY using the exchange rate you enter.
  2. The service fee is applied to converted merchandise and domestic shipping.
  3. The payment fee is applied after the service fee.
  4. Billable weight is the greatest of actual weight, optional volumetric weight, and minimum billable weight.
  5. The first 1,000 g route charge and each additional 500 g increment determine international shipping.
  6. Insurance is applied after merchandise, service, payment, and international shipping costs.
  7. Your optional tax estimate and fixed charges are added to produce the mid estimate.
  8. The uncertainty percentage varies the calculated fees to produce the low and high range.

All money operations use integer minor units and documented half-up rounding. The calculator does not silently add an exchange rate, tax rate, shipping rate, or product dimension.

The route-specific divisor used to convert package volume into a chargeable weight.
Minimum billable weight
The smallest weight the route will charge, even when the parcel weighs less.
Uncertainty range
A percentage applied to calculated fees, not product value, to show how rate-sensitive the estimate is.

Landed cost questions

What is landed cost?

Landed cost is the estimated total required to get an order to its destination. It can include the product, China domestic shipping, international shipping, service and payment fees, insurance, taxes, duties, and fixed charges.

Why can volumetric weight be higher than actual weight?

Carriers may charge for the space a parcel occupies. Volumetric weight is calculated from package dimensions and the divisor used by the selected route. The greater of actual weight, volumetric weight, and any minimum billable weight is used here.

Does the estimate include customs duty?

Only when you enter a tax or duty percentage. The calculator does not claim to predict a customs decision because classification, thresholds, destination rules, and carrier handling can differ.

Where should I get the exchange and shipping rates?

Use the current checkout, payment-provider, agent, or carrier information that applies to your order. Record the source and date separately, because manual rates in this calculator are not independently verified.

Are shared estimates public?

A share link is unlisted, expires after 30 days, and is marked noindex. Anyone who receives the link can view its non-personal calculation inputs and result, so do not distribute a link more widely than intended.
